Detailed itinerary
DAY 1 Home – Tashkent / Tashkent (excursion
Arrival to Tashkent International Airport via midnight flight. Border operations. Transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel.
Breakfast. Meeting with the group guide. Visit of the Chorsu Bazaar where a variety of local agricultural and handicraft products are on sale. Then visit the modern city: Amir Temur square, Independence square (Mustaqillik Maydoni) and the Palace of Friendship among Peoples, behind which the blue dome of the Oliy Majlis (the parliament) emerges. Stop in the 19th century Abul Kasim madrassa, now a handicraft shop.
Afternoon visit of the old city: the Abu Bakr Kaffal Shoshi mausoleum, the architectural complex of Khazrat Imam of the Barak Khan Madrassa, the Telyashayakh Mosque with the immense Koran of Osaman, the oldest in the world since 655. Visit of the Kukeldash Madrassa nearby Khast Imom square. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2 Tashkent – Samarkand (290 km + excursion)
Breakfast. ‘Check out’ from the hotel.
Transfer to Samarkand by minibus. After arriving to Samarkand Check in at a hotel.
Excursion to the Observatory of Ulugbek, the first observatory in Central Asia, built in XIV c. and visit the Afrosiyob Museum. It was an ancient site in northern Samarkand, which was occupied from 500 BC to AD 1220. The Tomb of Daniel is the traditional burial place of the biblical prophet Daniel.

DAY 3 Samarkand (excursion)
Breakfast. After breakfast it’s time to begin sightseeing tour in Samarkand: The Registan Square (“Sandy Place”), the ensemble of three madrasahs (the Ulughbek Madrasah (1417-1420), the Sher Dor Madrasah (1619-1636) and the Tillya Kori Madrasah (1646-1660)) is a unique example of town-building art, a remarkable pattern of the architectural planning of the main town square; The Gur-Amir Mausoleum –a world known masterpiece of Central Asian architecture, the family crypt of the great dynasty of Tamerlane, with a fine ribbed dome and decorated with paper-maché inside.
Lunch time.
In the afternoon you will explore other miracles of the city: The Pearl of Samarkand – Bibi Khanum Mosque. Constructed in 1399 by the best architects and artisans of Khorossan, Azerbaijan, Persia and India, the mosque was compared on the beauty and shining with the Milky Way; the Siyab Bazaar, the most ancient and biggest in Samarkand. The Shakhi-Zinda ensemble with more than 20 buildings, built from early XI up to XIV cc. Each mausoleum has its own style of decoration and great fantasy of skillful artisans.

DAY 4 SAMARKAND – BUKHARA (260 km + excursion)
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to Bukhara. After arriving to Bukhara region you will visit monuments situated in countryside of the Bukhara: the mosque Tchor Minor, or « Four Minarets », hidden in the alleys of the ancient district of the city, an example of XIX cc. monument; summer residence of Bukhara Emirs, Sitora-i-Mokhi Khosa, which was the second residence of the last emir of Bukhara.

DAY 5 Bukhara (excursion)
Breakfast. Day dedicated to the visit of Bukhara. We will visit the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, the remains of the ancient walls, the Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, the Bolo-Hauz Mosque, the Ark Fortress, the Registan square “sandy place”, the Kalon Minaret the Mosque of Kalon, the Madrasa of Mir-i-Arab, the bazaar Taqi-Zarganon, the Madrasa of Abul Aziz Khan; the Ulugbek Madrasah, the Tim Abdullah Khan market, the Taqi-Telpak Furushon, the Lyabi Hauz Square, the Maghoki Attar Mosque, the Taqi-Sarrafon the Nadir Divanbegi Mosque, the Nadir Divanbegi Madrasa; the Khanaka (hostel). It ends with a visit to the Char Minar, (in Tajik “four minarets”).

DAY 6 Bukhara – Khiva (480 km)
Breakfast. Early in the morning breakfast and departure for Khiva. A long journey through the desert furrowed by the Amu-Darya & Syr-Darya fumes, those diverted at the time of the USSR to irrigate the cotton fields and which caused the desertification of the Aral Sea. Overnight at Hotel in Khiva.

DAY 7 Khiva (excursion)
Breakfast. Visit the Mohammed Amin Khan Madrasa, Kalta Minor, the old Kukhna Ark Fortress. (with the Zidon, the Khans’ prison, the Summer Mosque, the Mint, the Archaeological Museum, the Oq Shihbobo Bastion, the 24m Tower, the Winter Mosque), the Mohammed Rahkim Khan Madrasa, the headquarters of the Silk Carpet, the Mausoleum Pahlavon Mohammed; the Islom Madrasa, the Juma Mosque, the Dost Alyam Madrasa, the Tosh-Khovli Palace and the Kutlimurodimok Madrasa, the Alloquli Khan Madrasa the typical bazaar and the Alloqulihon caravanserai, the Aq Mosque, the Anusha Khan Baths . DAY 8 Khiva – Urgench – Tashkent (35 km + flight) 07/10
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to Urgench airport. Flight to Tashkent. After arrival to Tashkent domestic airport- transfer to International Airport of Tashkent.
